Counseling Center is delighted to invite you to our upcoming Building Cross-Cultural Connections: Multicultural Perspectives Workshop.
This workshop aims to help participants explore how cultural backgrounds influence communication and relationships. Guided by the facilitator and through small-group sharing and discussions, participants will exchange experiences, explore key multicultural concepts, and learn practical ways to engage across cultures with openness and respect—while also gaining a glimpse into communication styles in Taiwanese culture.
Both expats and local participants are warmly welcome to join!
For international participants, you’ll have the opportunity to:
- Reflect on how your cultural background shapes your communication style and adaptation in Taiwan
- Learn about common communication patterns and language use in Taiwanese culture
- Understand and manage feelings of discomfort that may arise in cross-cultural situations
- Practice inclusive ways of interacting with people from other cultures
For local participants, you’ll be able to:
- Recognize how unspoken social norms and communication habits in Taiwan may influence intercultural interactions
- Learn about other cultures’ communication styles and ways of expressing themselves
- Cultivate openness and mutual respect in multicultural teamwork and communication
